Three inception meetings were held at three target Upazilas, namely Kaliganj, Ashashuni and Debhata on 31st October, 1st November and 2nd November 2016 respectively. The prime objective of those inception meetings were to make the entire range of stakeholders aware of project objectives, methodologies, plans, and deliverables, identify potential constraints and challenges, and also to seek support from them for successful implementation of the project activities. These inception meetings brought wide range of stakeholders into the fold of this project. They included the elected representatives, government officials, including administration and law enforcement agencies, students, teachers, civil society representatives, business and faith leaders, women activists, local leaders and media personnel in all three targeted Upazilas. More than 100 leaders/stakeholders from various strata of society participated in those inception meetings and they deemed the project as a timely initiative, which will build local capacity, develop alternative narratives through use of family and social values, mobilize the community through multi stakeholder participation and build a community network among the stakeholders in the target localities to prevent radicalization and violent extremism.
