1.Recruitment of staff (Programme manager, M&E officer, Research officer, Finance officer and 3 Field managers)
2.Meeting with district officials and district press club to seek their suggestion and cooperation in the implementation of project activities
3.Selection of 6 colleges and 6 Madrasahs according to the distance from the upazila Head Quarter, suggestion of local field manager, local administrations and other stakeholders.
4.Three inception meetings were conducted at three target Upazilas to make the entire range of stakeholders aware of project objectives, methodologies, plans, and deliverables, identify potential constraints and challenges, and also to seek support from them for successful implementation of the project activities.
5.A baseline study was conducted in three Upazilas to set up a basis formonitoring and evaluation work, and to support ongoing review of project planning.
6.Selection of the trainee students and teacher on the basis of gender, religion, interest, experience, vulnerability as well as the suggestions of teachers and principals.
7.Three 3 days training workshops were organized for the media personnel and teachers in three target Upazilas to frame and prepare 24 teachers and 24 journalists from three Upazilas (8 teachers and 8 journalists from each Upazila) to act as mentors for the students.
8. Three training workshops of two-day duration were organized to 96 youths on use of information/media and reflective research and analysis in three Upazilas to aware them about the signs and signals of radicalization and violent extremism and make the m capable to use information platform in PVE.
9. Three one-day combined training workshops for students, teachers and journalists were held in three Upazilas to form common groups for deliverables, orient them and help them build up a work plan to complete their tasks. In that training the mentors and youth were divided into three groups (wall poster, radio and print media) according to their interest and experience.
10. Some topic has been selected with consultation with students and teachers by keeping in mind of the project outcome. On the basis of selected topic and provided guideline and frequent meeting with student, teacher and journalist 150 wall poster has been prepared. Moreover 6 news write-ups has been published, and debate competition is approaching in same process
11.The radio programme has been implementing as per the MoU with Nalta community radio station. They groomed and trained student in a way that student can write the script of the program and use the community radio platform against the appeal of radicalization and violent extremism through jokes, song, drama, reciting poem, etc.
